ASC and Crossroads Community Services are thrilled to announce that Chef Kwame Onwuachi will serve as the keynote speaker at ASC’s 37th Annual Luncheon Benefiting Crossroads Community Services.

ASC’s 37th Annual Luncheon will be held on Friday, July 21, 2024 at the Thompson Dallas.

5K Committee Report - Telisa Schelin, Debrán O’Neil, Skyler Howton, Zoe Stendara

Winfrey Point is under construction! The 5k is moving to Plano this year. It will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Oak Point Park and Nature Reserve. Please register for the race. If your company or law firm has a corporate wellness program, please let us know! We would love to talk about how you can support ASC through employee race registrations!

Networking Committee Report - Carol Wilson

Mark your calendars! ASC Gives Back will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Crossroads Community Services! Spend an evening volunteering at Crossroads and hear from Jaclyn Albin, MD, CCMS, DipABLM. Dr. Albin is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and Director of the Culinary Medicine program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Silent Auction Committee Report - Tiffany Lam-Bently, Jigyasa Singla, Anne Sparks

When you are out and about in town, please ask the companies, restaurants, and venues you are at for a donation to the silent auction. You can print and use our form solicitation letter. You can bring items that you collect to our monthly planning meetings or networking events. The Silent Auction Co-Chairs will collect them. Please also bring bottles of wine (valued at $15 or more) or restaurant gift cards ( valued at $25 or more) to our meetings and events.

Our STEP-UP campaign is working! We currently have 205 members and we have raised $49,850 in membership dues! If you have not yet renewed your membership, please considering STEPPING-UP to help us raise $400k (net) this year! (www.ascdallas.com/join-today)

Join us for an evening of volunteer work at Crossroads Community Services facility in South Dallas. This opportunity to give back features wine, hors d’oeuvres, and a presentation relating to the importance of food security and nutrition to our overall wellness.

Attorneys Serving the Community is a dynamic volunteer organization of more than 475 women lawyers, judges, law students, and legal industry service professionals with JDs in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. For over 35 years, ASC has raised money for local non-profit organizations that benefit women, children, and/or families. ASC is proud to have raised more than $5 million for DFW non-profits since 2015.
