Our 2024-2025 Beneficiary is…..
Congratulations to POETIC!
Attorneys Serving the Community is thrilled to announce that it has selected POETIC as its 2024-25 nonprofit beneficiary.
Since 2017, POETIC has worked to break the cycle of vulnerability and victimization in youth. POETIC’s mission is to equip girls who have experienced child mistreatment, commercial sexual exploitation, and sex trafficking to find their voices, reclaim their narratives, and persist forward. POETIC’s comprehensive support puts an on-site school, trauma therapy center, art therapy, and paid internships all under one roof for the youth it serves.
Funds that ASC raises this year will kickstart and support three critical campaigns:
Expansion of POETIC’s physical space, allowing POETIC to double its square footage and double the number of youth it serves.
Expansion of POETIC’s program staff, allowing POETIC to provide therapeutic services to more youth.
Software necessary to support POETIC’s clinical research efforts, allowing POETIC to continue and expand its sharing of trends and effective interventions on a national level.
POETIC’s programming is built on the belief that every youth should have access to equitable resources, with a focus on education, mental health, and economic empowerment. We are honored to lead ASC this year in raising funds and awareness for POETIC. It was wonderful to see more than 70 of you at last week’s Charity Selection meeting – it let us know that you are just as excited and energized as we are to kick off the 2024-25 year. We look forward to partnering with all of you to make this year one for the books!

Attorneys Serving the Community is a dynamic volunteer organization of more than 400 women lawyers, judges, law students, and legal industry service professionals with JDs in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. For over 37 years, ASC has raised money for local non-profit organizations that benefit women, children, and/or families. ASC is proud to have raised more than $5 million for DFW non-profits since 2015.
