Register for ASC’s Heart & Sole 5K, and
Volunteer to Help Distribute Rack Cards
The 15th Annual Heart & Sole 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run is right around the corner, and our registration site is officially LIVE! Please join us at Oak Point Park in Plano on Saturday, February 15, and promote the race to your family, friends, and coworkers. Runners, walkers, children, and dogs are all welcome. And stick around after the race for breakfast, music, and family-friendly activities, including a bounce house, face painters, and a balloon artist. Mark your calendars and register today!
Calling all ASC members: We need volunteers for ASC’s Heart & Sole 5K!
The 5K is always our greatest volunteer need of the year, so in addition to registering for the race and spreading the word about it, please sign up to help us in one or more of the following ways:
Rack card distribution. Help us distribute promotional fliers over the next several weeks to spread the word about our race.
Race bag stuffing. On February 8, help us stuff race bags with goodies and swag to distribute to race participants.
Packet pickup. Work a shift at packet pickup on February 9, where race registrants can pick up their race bibs and t-shirts in advance of race day.
Race Day. Race Day is February 15, and this is our greatest need! There are three shifts, so even if you plan to run or walk the race, you can still help.
Volunteers are critical to making this event a success, so please sign up below to help. And remember — these are perfect opportunities for students who need service hours, so feel free to bring helpers with you!
Save the Date for ASC’s Silent Auction!
Mark your calendars and get excited….
ASC’s Silent Auction will take place on Thursday, April 3 at Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C., and this year’s theme is WICKED!
Please consider supporting ASC and POETIC by making an in-kind donation to be sold at the Silent Auction, or a cash donation toward underwriting the expenses associated with this event. We are collecting restaurant gift cards valued at $25 or more, bottles of wine valued at $15 or more, and items from local businesses such as hotels, spas, retailers, event venues, artists, and more. Please ask the businesses you frequent to donate an item. You can find a solicitation letter and other helpful materials on the Silent Auction event page of ASC’s website.
Finally, consider entering our Firm Basket Competition. Each year, firms and companies donate themed baskets to the Silent Auction and we award a prize to the basket sold for the highest dollar amount! Reach out to our Silent Auction Committee Co-Chairs if you’d like to enter the contest, or with any questions: Neena Wiora, Jigyasa Singla, Michelle Carey Jones, or Tiffany Lam-Bentley.
